I am a third year PhD student working on Computer Vision in the Department of Computer Science at UIUC. I am advised by Prof. Derek Hoiem. I did my undergrad in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, where I worked with Prof. Aditya K. Jagannatham.
My research focuses on problems in Artificial Intelligence at the intersection of Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing. Specifically, I am interested in building extensible AI systems that effectively use knowledge learned from previous tasks to solve new tasks in data-deficient but structure-rich scenarios.
I also have previous research experience in 3D reconstruction from inputs such as - RGB video, RGBD images, or a single depthmap. During my undergrad I worked on face detection, tracking and recognition in videos.
In general, I enjoy working on interesting and important problems in Computer Vision and Machine Learning (including Deep Learning) and am always looking forward to collaborations.
